Eisenmann is a leading international supplier of systems for surface finishing technology, environmental technology and material flow automation.
The Requirements
A several hundred of material masters, bill of materials and documents are transferred from TEAMCENTER to SAP daily and so it was required, to implement the interface on one hand and also to provide SAP transactions to handle those raw data and maintain them in order to use them in the further logistic processes like material requirement planning (MRP), procurement (internal/external), shipping and controlling.
The solution
First we did a gap analysis between the customers requirement and SAP standard solution concerning material master, bill of materials and documents and where necessary, we extended them by implementing additional fields and classification characteristics.
Now we were able, when TEAMCENTER transferred those data, to extend them under consideration of the project context (SAP-PS) automatically. This means, we extended and made available the data for several plants and adjusted the data for all processes like external procurement with material provision, multi-lingual document info records according to the requirements of the sales order and other non-standard functions.
We also created a master data cockpit for the requirement planning department, where by an intelligent trafficlight system the planner quickly got an overview on descisions like make or buy he had to take and other actions he had to perform manually. If all lights show green, the planner was now enabled to release the whole structure of assemblies for internal and external procurement at once and also to monitor the procurement of those.
Not uncommon the bill of material is changed due to customers requirments and transferred anew. Within the cockpit the planner is able to analyse the diffrences and may change the procurement items (cancel, time andquantity changes).

Peter Mollekopf, who entered the SAP project first as an PP consultant, was later transferred by the project lead into our PDM team.
His area of responsibility has been the SAP's master data material master, bill of materials and documents info records and their integration into the TEAMCENTER workflows. With his help we achieved to simplify the TEAMCENTER's workflows and relocate tasks from there into SAP.
Peters open and honest way to comunicate was appriciated by all team members and on his descernment we could always rely on. Certainly his wide range of SAP expertise combined with his ABAP skills helped him to manage the complex requirements. At any time I would love to work with him again.
